So here it is, January in Canada, and it is -20C with snow on the ground. So I am suffering from spring fever and decided to paint some spring crocuses. As you can see, I got a little carried away with the theme.

I painted this from a photo I took in Confederation Park.
Some folks who came to the sale last week called me and wanted to buy my Wolverine Creek Boulders painting that they saw at the sale. They dropped by today and it now has a new home. 🙂
Thanks to all who attended the Bow West Artist Sale today. I was very happy with how it went. I sold 5 Acrylic paintings and 10 small Alcohol Inks. These are the painting/alcohol inks that I sold.
For Christmas I received some Alcohol Inks and have been playing with them, on both ceramic tiles and Yupo paper. They are a lot of fun and force me to paint loosely as they have a mind of their own. I have added a number of images of the alcohol ink paintings under a new heading, “Alcohol Inks” on my main page menu. Please visit to see what they are like. I will have a number of them for sale in the Bow West Painters spring sale on April 8th, 2017. Here are a couple of images too:
I needed a break from the rocks, so I decided to paint some birds. These were painted from photos I have taken over the last little while.
I never seem to get tired of painting rocks. These two are painted from photos that my very good friend Dave took while on one of his many excursions with my husband and me.
October was a good month for painting. I finished these three this month.
I just finished this seagull painting in an online workshop. I really enjoyed it, even though is isn’t painted in the loose style of the artist giving the workshop. I guess that looser style just doesn’t suit me.
