Back to Rocks!
After a summer without much painting getting done (thanks to nice weather and fun activities) I am back to painting rocks. Back in my comfort zone.
West Bragg Creek Summer – I’m working my way through the seasons.
I haven’t been painting much this summer but I did manage to finish this one. The next in the series will be a winter one, but don’t think I will want to paint that one in the middle of the summer. I will at least wait for the fall.
And now a springtime painting: Springtime in Banff
Though this could have just as easily have had snow in it to represent spring in Banff, I thought I would be optimistic. 🙂
Another West Bragg Creek Painting
I am enjoying using lots of colour in the West Bragg Creek fall setting paintings. However it is spring now so I should try painting some with the nice bright greens. I might try that after I get the spring cleaning done and my garden planted. I took some reference photos this week when we did the Forget-Me-Not Pond cycle.
The CCPS Sale was a success!
The Calgary Community Painters Society Sale was a success. I think we had a record number of people attend and a record number of paintings sold! I was happy selling five of mine:
The Bow West Artists Show and Sale was a success.
We had lots of people attend our Bow West Spring Show and Sale yesterday, and I had a lot of fun, even though it was a very cold day in Calgary. I sold 7 paintings and I think there was a lot of success for the other artists as well.
Here are the paintings that I sold:
Upcoming Show and Sale!
I have lots of paintings ready for the sale this Saturday, April 7th. This is most of them, but there are also a few small alcohol inks that I haven’t shown here.
Back to Birds
I got tired of crocuses so I am taking a break and painting some birds and rocks for a while. I finished this one yesterday. Thanks to Farley, my new little Golden Retriever puppy who loves taking naps in my painting room, I have lots of time to paint.
